Pest Control

Florida pest pressure. Handled honestly.

If you live in Sarasota or Manatee County and you're seeing pests in the house, it's not a personal failing. It's the climate. Subtropical humidity, year-round breeding cycles, and Florida construction make pest pressure a baseline condition. The question isn't whether you'll have pests. It's how the company handles them when you do.

What We Treat

Identified, not blanket-sprayed.

Different species, different biology, different treatment. Generic monthly spraying treats every problem like the same problem. That's why it doesn't always hold. We identify the species and treat accordingly.

Ants

Ghost ants, big-headed ants, white-footed ants, fire ants — Florida's heat and humidity keep them active year-round. We trace the trail to the colony, not just kill the visible foragers.

Palmetto Bugs & Roaches

American (palmetto bugs), German, smoky brown. Treatment differs by species, which is why blanket spraying rarely fixes a real roach problem.

Spiders

Wolf spiders, banana spiders, black widows. Most spiders are following an insect food source. The real fix is reducing the prey, not just spider-killing.

Mosquitoes

Targeted reduction at breeding and resting sites: standing water, dense shrubs, lanai shade. We don't fog the whole yard with broad-spectrum chemistry.

Fleas

Indoor and outdoor flea pressure, especially in pet households after a Florida summer. We treat the life cycle, not just the visible adults.

Silverfish

Bathrooms, attics, paper storage. Silverfish signal moisture. We point out the source so the treatment actually holds.

Earwigs

Mulch beds, foundation lines, garages. Florida's wet/dry cycle drives them inside in waves.

Centipedes & Millipedes

Dark, damp areas. We treat the perimeter pressure point and identify the harborage that's drawing them.

How We Treat

Exterior-first. Interior only when needed.

The cleanest treatment is the one that doesn't put product where it doesn't belong. We work the perimeter, the entry points, and the harborage areas first. We only treat indoors when there's an active infestation that actually needs it.

Inspect & Identify

Walk the property, identify species, locate harborage and pressure points. You see what we see.

Treat the Perimeter

Targeted exterior application around the foundation, entry points, and known runs. Most jobs end here.

Interior If Needed

Active interior infestations get a targeted, low-impact application. Pet- and kid-safe re-entry windows explained before we leave.

Free Callbacks

If covered pests come back between visits, so do we. No extra charge, no questions, no “dispatch fee.”

Pick the cadence

Pick the cadence. Cancel anytime.

No long-term contracts. Ever. If you want one-time service, we do that. If you want quarterly or monthly, great. You can stop whenever you want with no cancellation fee, no auto-renewal trap, no “subscription” you have to fight to escape.

Plan A

One-Time Treatment

For an active problem you want solved: ants, a roach incident, a flea outbreak. Inspect, treat, done. No commitment to anything beyond the job.

  • Single visit, fully scoped
  • Treatment guaranteed for 30 days
  • No contract, no follow-up obligation

Plan B

Quarterly Protection

The right cadence for most Florida homes. We come every 90 days, treat the perimeter and pressure points, and you call us free between visits if you see anything.

  • Four service visits per year
  • Free callbacks between visits
  • Cancel anytime, no fee

Plan C

Monthly Protection

For high-pressure properties: canal lots, dense vegetation, properties with heavy mosquito or roach pressure. More visits, tighter pressure-point control.

  • Twelve service visits per year
  • Free callbacks between visits
  • Cancel anytime, no fee

Common Questions

Pest control FAQ

Are the products safe for kids and pets?

Yes — we use products labeled for residential use around children and pets, and we explain the safe re-entry window for any treated area before we leave. Most exterior treatments require nothing more than waiting for the application to dry. If anything we use needs additional precautions, you'll know in plain English before we apply it.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Paradise doesn't use long-term contracts on any service plan. Quarterly and monthly are month-to-month — cancel any time, no fee, no auto-renewal lock-in. The reason we don't use contracts is the same reason we don't upsell: we'd rather earn the next visit than enforce one.

What if pests come back between scheduled visits?

Free callback. That's the policy. If you're on a quarterly or monthly plan and a covered pest shows up between visits, we come back at no charge. No dispatch fee, no minimum, no “outside the agreement” small print.

Can I just do this myself with stuff from Home Depot?

For low-pressure situations, sometimes yes. Honestly. The reason to hire a professional isn't that the chemicals are magic. It's diagnosis (which species you actually have), entry-point identification, and the safety window of using stronger residual products correctly. If your situation is genuinely a DIY-able one, we'll tell you.

How long does a treatment take?

Most quarterly perimeter treatments take 30–45 minutes. Initial visits with interior work or active infestations take longer (usually 60–90 minutes) because we're doing the inspection and the treatment in the same visit.

Do you do termites?

Termite treatment and WDO inspections are a separate, regulated service category. Paradise's current service menu is general pest control, wildlife removal, and exclusion. If you're seeing signs of termite activity, we'll tell you straight and refer you to a termite specialist we trust. We won't pretend to handle it ourselves.
